Sanlu Ex-Boss Gets Life for Milk Scandal

Tian Wenhua, the former chairwoman and general manager of Sanlu Group, the firm at the center of the tainted milk scandal, received life imprisonment in north Chinas Hebei province. Tian, 66, was sentenced in the Intermediate Peoples Court of Shijiazhuang for producing and selling fake or substandard products. The three other former top Sanlu executives on trial together with Tian under the same charge got sentences varying from five to 15 years.
